Morning travel, I miss it.

Viaggio Auto

This post is also available in: Italiano (Italian)

In 2019 BC (Before CoronaVirus) we went to work and there was a move, a journey, from home to work, from home to customers, from home to somewhere. Today in 2020 AC (After CoronaVirus) all this is gone. And I miss it!

The day often began in the car, that time was special, it was a particular ritual for each of us, the daughters were called or the daughters were calling us. We heard the news on the radio or we were set up mentally the day. We turned on our brains .. well maybe not all of us but many of us …

Now you get up, brush your teeth, drink coffee, have breakfast, but you are missing something …

An important routine has broken.

And what about the evening? Of the return trip? You talked to friends and relatives, if you caught the queue you were still on the phone, you carried out those social activities that now we risk not exist anymore.

I realized that now I have to think daily about who to call, who to talk to. Some ties are likely to fail. My childhood friend, tire repairer who has been taking care of the car for 40 years, I don’t get himanymore. Or rather, I have to call it on purpose, the car is in the box and I don’t use it anymore. The only positive note I can call my bro Marco whenever I want, he always was working 15 hours a day it was practically impossible to hear from him except on Saturdays.

But I am Corona as it is changing us … I do not say good or bad but in this voluntary quarantine in this forced solitude the journey of the morning and evening that you faced with vigor and enthusiasm I miss very much.

Look at this Corona how much it is changing us … nor in good, nor in bad, but in this voluntary quarantine, in this forced solitude, the morning journey and evening one that we faced with vigor and enthusiasm, I truly miss very much.
